The engine workshop is installed in its new facilities with temperature control and its new dimensional control room using a three axis control machine. 08/14/03 - Aeromecanic 34 is moving to the Marseille Provence Airport From next September the 1st, the AEROMECANIC 34 team will be operational after only 2 weeks stop ( 15 to 31 August 2003). The new Facilities are large enough, completely modernized in accordance with actual security rules. They are connected with the secondary track of the Marseille Provence Airport (LFMA). The engine workshop will be installed on approx 500 m² with regulation of the temperature and modern control devices as for example 3-dimension measurement machine. NDT will be improved with COSAC personnal and modernized equipment equipped with automatic control management and report printing. The groupment AEROMECANIC 34 / AEROMECANIC will constitute a 35 employees team, which be able to work on all the maintenance subject on airplane and helicopter : airframe, powerplant, NDT, painting, welding repair, avionic, radio... June 2001 - France 3 television Here is the text of the french tv program "19-20" shown on June 29th 2001 and presented by Thierry VALERO. France 3: L'aéroport Montpellier Méditerranée conservera la société AERO 34, cette société spécialisée dans les hélicoptères a trouvé un repreuneur après des années de turbulence. Il s'agit d'un industriel de Marseille. Début Mai, AEROMECANIC 34 rachetait AERO 34 qui battait sérieusement de l'aile ces dernières années. A l'activité traditionnelle de Maintenance, AEROMECANIC 34 décidait alors de se lancer dans la reconstruction d'aéronefs, d'hélicoptères surtout. Ce BELL 47 G2, flambant neuf, effectuant des essais en vol, est la première machine de ce type entièrement refaite ici de la cellule au dernier boulon. Charles PALUMBO: "Nous avons une politique de développement de machines fabriquées en autofinancement. Nous allons en fabriquer entre deux et cinq par an, nous allons investir dans les pièces, dans le délai de fabrication, nous espérons bien sûr trouver des clients." France 3: Dans la région Languedoc Roussillon, le parc d'hélicoptères est estimé à environ une cinquantaine de machines dont la moitié de BELL 47 en majeure partie utilisée pour l'épendage agricole. En s'installant à Fréjorgues, Charles PALUMBO envisage aussi d'attaquer le Marché Espagnol. Charles PALUMBO: "L'Espagne est un pays qui a un Marché qui n'est pas sensiblement plus important que celui de la France mais, curieusement, les ateliers Moteurs performants et fiables ne sont pas légion." France 3: AEROMECANIC 34 est également spécialisée dans les HUGHES 300 tel ce 269C remis à neuf. Cette entreprise est la quatrième du Groupe PALUMBO qui compte aussi une société de Robotique à Marseille et un autre atelier de Maintenance et de reconstruction d'Alouette II et III à Marignane. Charles PALUMBO: "Nous étions en train de développer un atelier Moteurs à Marignane. Il nous est donc venu à l'idée qu'on pouvait grouper les deux pour éviter les doublons entre Marignane et Montpellier dans le cadre de l'atelier Moteurs. France 3: AEROMECANIC 34 envisage de construire des locaux plus fonctionnels ici sur le site de Fréjorgues notamment pour y rappatrier cet atelier. Pour l'heure, côté carnet de commande, c'est plutôt la navigation à vue mais Charles PALUMBO a bon espoir de créer une vingtaine d'emplois dans les trois années à venir.
